Your Waldo Lens Plan
How does my subscription work?
Once you’ve created your account, you’ll be on track to have daily contact lenses delivered to your door each month. Your subscription is completely flexible, so you can tailor your delivery dates and frequency to suit you. We have a delivery charge of £2.95 for your Free Trial box, but all following deliveries are free of charge.
Can I get a subscription for just one eye?
Yes, when entering your contact lens prescription you will see separate sections for your right eye and for your left. Simply select your prescription for one eye and then select N/A for the other. Select ‘Add to Cart’ and your order for one contact lens will be ready to purchase. We’ll make sure your box of lenses arrives solo, making your subscription just £12 per month.
Can I change the date on my subscription?
Yes, you can easily amend your delivery dates in your online account. We’ll drop you an email to let you know your lenses are en route.
Can I change the type of lenses on my subscription?
We offer two ranges of lenses - Waldo Original and Waldo Vitamin. You’re welcome to switch and swap between the two.
Am I able to cancel my subscription?
You’re able to cancel your subscription three days after signing up to Waldo. You can easily do this by logging into your online account and clicking the cancel button.
What is your return policy?
At Waldo, we want to make your life as easy as possible. If you find something has gone wrong, please feel free to contact us directly within 30 days of receiving your order. Due to the nature of contacts, please be aware that we are unable to refund or replace boxes that have already been opened or used. If, however, your box is still sealed, please do get in touch either via email or telephone and we can look further into granting you a refund. Your Contact Lens Prescription
Do I need a prescription to place an order?
You don’t need to send a prescription to Waldo when you place an order, however we do encourage you to upload your prescription as we may need to verify it. You can do this here
Can I purchase contact lenses with my glasses prescription?
No! Since contact lenses sit on the eye, your lens prescription is different from your glasses prescription. As a result, when you order our lenses you must have a current contact lens prescription which specifies the power and parameters of the lenses.
What should I do if my prescription changes?
You can update your prescription by logging into your online account on our Waldo website. If you have trouble with this, feel free to email us a copy of your prescription using email@example.com and we will be able to help!
Can Waldo give me a prescription?
We can’t give you a prescription at Waldo but we can give you some great optical advice courtesy of our in-house optician, Anita. Remember that before ordering, you will need to visit your local optician to obtain an up-to-date lens prescription.
How old must I be to order and wear Waldo contact lenses?
You must be aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, you need to see your optician to be able to order lenses.
Waldo Daily Contact Lenses
What are your lenses made of?
Our lenses are made of 42% etafilcon A and 58% water. Waldo lenses are made of hydrogel which has a higher water content and means many people find them to be a soft lens in comparison to other materials.
Do the lenses have UV filters?
Yes! Waldo lenses help protect your eyes against the transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into eye. Our lenses have a Class 2 classification which means they block 70% UVA and 95% UVB rays. However, you should never treat your lenses as a substitute for UV absorbing eyewear like sunglasses, which provide full coverage of the eyes and surrounding areas.
What is the base curve and diameter of Waldo lenses?
Our base curve is 8.5mm and our diameter is 14.2mm.
Why does Waldo sell lenses with a single base curve and diameter?
Waldo lenses have a base curve of 8.5mm, which is suitable for most contact lens wearers. As we grow, we will continue to expand our range further.
Do you sell lenses for people with astigmatism?
We don’t yet offer toric lenses for those with astigmatism, however we’re working hard on these! If you would like to be notified as soon as we have toric lenses please complete this form.
Do you sell multifocal lenses?
We don’t currently offer multifocal lenses, however we’re working on these! If you would like to be notified as soon as we have multifocal lenses please complete this form
Do you sell bi-weekly or monthly lenses?
We only sell daily lenses. We prioritise our customers eye health and according to our in-house optician, daily lenses are the most hygenic contact lenses to wear.
Can I use eye-drops with my Waldo lenses?
You are able to use eye drops while wearing your Waldo lenses, just make sure that the eye drops you’re using are compatible with contact lenses.
Can I clean my Waldo lenses with water or contact lens solution to store them?
We supply daily lenses, so Waldo lenses should not be worn more than once. Please dispose of your lenses after each wear.
Where are your lenses made?
Our lenses are manufactured by Pegavision, based in Taiwan.
Do you offer a free trial for Waldo Vitamin, as well as Waldo Original?
We only offer a free trial for our Waldo Original range.
Are contacts difficult to insert and remove?
We appreciate that inserting and removing your lenses may take a little practice, so our lenses come complete with a guide containing instructions on how to insert and remove contacts properly. If you’re inserting your lenses for the first time and would like to chat to somebody hands-free, give our in-house optician a call on 020 3176 8063 and she’ll talk you through it. Our in-house optician is available from Monday to Wednesday, 9am-5pm.
Will it hurt when I put the contact lens on my eye for the first time?
Some wearers might feel uncomfortable inserting contact lenses for the first time, however most people are surprised with the level of comfort that they can provide. Initial fittings by professional eye care specialists should minimize or eliminate any problems associated with new lenses. If this is your first time wearing daily contacts, we ask that you visit your local optician to obtain an up-to-date prescription before ordering from us.
Can I swim with my contact lenses in?
We advise you not to swim whilst wearing your contact lenses. Water contains bacteria that has the potential to contaminate your lenses and cause infection. If you do swim whilst wearing the lenses, we recommend you remove them as soon as possible afterwards to reduce the risk of infection.
Can I wear my contacts in the shower or bath, or in a sauna or steam room?
We recommend removing your lenses before taking a shower, getting in the bathtub or entering a sauna or steam room. Tap water and sweat contain bacteria so they should never come into contact with your lenses, while soaps and other chemicals in your shower products can cause irritation to your eyes.
Can I wear contact lenses when playing sports?
Absolutely. Contact lenses are a fantastic option for people who enjoy playing sports. Forget steamy glasses and broken frames, Waldo lenses will stick with you until the final whistle.

How long will it take for my trial order to arrive?
Once you have placed your order, your lenses will be delivered to your door within 48 hours.
What is the cost of shipping for each delivery?
We only have a delivery charge of £2.95 for customers who have signed up to a free trial with us. Your following shipments will be free of charge.
What forms of payment can I pay with?
We accept debit and credit cards for payment, including Visa and Mastercard.
How do I get a receipt for my insurance provider?
We do offer receipts at the bottom of our confirmation emails and in your account. Please be aware that our receipts do not include a VAT number, so make sure that you check what you need from the receipt before ordering.
