The benefits of wearing Waldo lenses

Superfine edge design

Designed for comfort, we have a tapered smooth edge to reduce the friction for low foreign body sensation when you blink.

Keeps eyes moist

Waldo lenses are made up of 58% water and have Multilayer Moisturising Hyaluronic Acid agents which offer great comfort and moisture. These can also help remove substances which might cause discomfort.

UV protection

Waldo lenses have got you covered. Waldo contact lenses have Class 2 classification which blocks 70% UVA and 95% UVB. UV damage to the eyes can cause Cataract, Pterygium, Pinguecula, Macula changes and Photokeratitis in extreme conditions.

High optical design technology

Aspheric lens design which is similar to the design of your cornea ensures vision with HD.

Oxygen

Our eyes need an oxygen transmissibility (Dk/t) of 21 for there to be no ocular changes to the eyes. Waldo lenses have a Dk/t of 25.

FAQ's

Why wear Waldo lenses?
Why Waldo contact lenses?
We provide a tapered, smooth edge for increased comfort, high optical design and UV protection, whilst saving you money compared to other lenses of the same standard. We also have an inhouse optician who is here to personally recommend the best products for your eyes.
Our commitment to your eye welfare
Your eye health and comfort are our utmost priority, so our manufacturing process is fully automated in a Class 100 sterile environment. The quality and standard of our lenses are among the highest on the market, thanks to our European certification (mark CE 0434) and Manufacturing standard (ISO 13485).
Daily disposable lenses - The healthiest choice for Your eyes
Daily disposables are the healthiest option as you use a fresh pair every time. Because of this, you almost eliminate any risk of contaminating the lens and reduce any contact lens complications. You also reduce the risk of infection as you don't re-use the lenses or use a case. Also, no hassles with using contact lens solutions.
Using Waldo contact lenses and aftercare
Who can wear contact lenses?
Many people can benefit from contact lens wear. A wide range of prescriptions can now be corrected with contact lenses. Advances in lens materials and technology mean that wearing contact lenses is simpler, more convenient and more comfortable than ever before.
Best ways to wear my lenses?
Inserting and removing lenses may take a little practice, but you'll get used to it in no time! Our lenses come complete with a guide containing instructions on how to insert and remove contacts properly.
Trying contact lenses for the first time?
Many people have a fear of putting contact lenses on their eyes. Unfortunately, it also prevents them from trying them. Most first-time wearers are surprised with the level of comfort that contact lenses provide. Initial fittings by professional eye care specialists should minimise or eliminate any problems associated with new lenses.
Lifestyle and contact lenses
Can I swim with my contact lenses in?
At Waldo, we advise you not to swim whilst wearing your contact lenses. Water contains bacteria that has the potential to contaminate your lenses and cause infection. If you do swim whilst wearing the lenses, we recommend you remove them as soon as possible afterwards to reduce the risk of infection.
Can I wear my contact lenses in the shower?
Tap water and sweat contain bacteria and should never meet your lenses. Soaps and other chemicals in your shower products can cause irritation to your eyes. Therefore, we recommend you remove your lenses before taking a shower or exposing your eyes to water.
Can I wear contact lenses when playing sports?
Absolutely. Contact lenses are a fantastic option for people who enjoy playing sports. Contact lenses are more hygienic and safer to wear for sports than glasses because you don't have to worry about them getting broken.
Contact lens prescription and other lenses
Do I need to send my prescription to Waldo when I place an order?

By agreeing to the Terms & Conditions you are confirming you have had a contact lens aftercare and a valid up to date contact lens prescription.
I wear contact lenses that have a different base curve. Will your lenses be suitable for me?
Waldo daily disposable lenses have a base curve of 8.5mm and are suitable for most people. We recommend that when you receive your free trial, you have the fitting checked by your optician.
I currently wear Acuvue moist daily disposables, can I wear Waldo daily disposables?
